for ten years i have been behind the chair, providing custom cuts and colors in Omaha. with hair, i was given the ability to make a woman feel like the beautiful goddess she deserved to be. so began my obsession with confidence. in may of 2012, i began my new new journey, becoming a mother. with a baby on my hip, i found the way to love the new body motherhood gifted me along with the glow and laughter i now have daily. i am bumping along the road of being a mama; learning and being humbled every step of the road. finding where i fit in, now, more than ever has been at the front of my brain. i want to be a woman to inspire other women. a woman who inspires my daughter. who lets her know it's okay to ask questions. to fall and get up. to talk too loud, and laugh out loud.  to rearrange the living room, and then to it again. to steal kisses and overcook every single roast she makes. i want her to know its okay to cry and to be a good friend. to snuggle. to not get out of bed for the day. to dream of all things good and right. to dream of being better... to be better. and most of all, to be confident in herself.

"instructions for living a life: pay attention. be astonished. tell about it." [m. oliver]
born to the humble beginnings of america's small town, i vowed to discover the beauty of an urban community. there i reached beyond myself to appreciate the unique qualities of the human spirit. i eventually found my way back to middle america, again craving the embrace of urban collaboration. i found athena.
i am a design, game night, fashion, organization, love junkie. i dream and plan. and dream some more. i am dancing to the person i am meant to be. life has taught me to make a habit of celebrating the little things. but most importantly, it has revealed the importance of celebrating each other - celebrating you.
